Four days after the Night of Shattering, Calen stands in the apartment he shared with Nova. Everything is exactly as they left it—her coffee mug still on the counter, her jacket hanging by the door, the bed they'll never share again.

The world tells him she's gone. Logic tells him she's dead. But something deeper—something he can't explain—tells him she's still out there. Somewhere beyond the Veil. Watching. Waiting. Calling to him through the static.

"Vortex of Anguish" is Calen's descent into grief, obsession, and refusal. He's spiraling—caught in the gravitational pull of loss, unable to escape, unwilling to let go. The Iron Warrens echo her name, but the fog gives no answers. The Core Keepers tell him to move on, but his heart screams that she's alive.

This is the sound of a man tearing himself apart with questions that have no answers. This is the moment he decides: he will find her, or he will burn the world trying.

The vortex has him now. And there's no climbing out.
