The Masque of the Red Death (Music Video)

By Crimson Requiem · Gothic Metal

“The Masque of the Red Death” is a dark Symphonic Gothic Metal interpretation inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s timeless tale of decadence, arrogance and the inevitability of death. From the mysterious seven chambers and the ominous sound of the ebony clock to the terrifying arrival of the crimson figure, the song follows Prospero’s doomed celebration as the illusion of safety slowly collapses.

Driven by heavy guitars, dark atmospheric textures, haunting piano and a powerful female lead vocal, the music moves from seductive gothic elegance to crushing darkness as the final hour approaches.

There are no walls strong enough to keep death outside.

There are no masks capable of hiding from it.

The clock is striking midnight.

Dance while you still can.
