A Lethal Kiss
By Crimson Requiem · Gothic Metal
Some kisses are not promises of forever, but beautiful invitations to oblivion.
"A Lethal Kiss" is a haunting Gothic Symphonic Metal ballad about a love that descends into darkness, where tenderness becomes a burden of stone, devotion turns poisonous, and two souls find themselves bound together in the ruins of everything they once believed sacred.
Emerging from near-silence, melancholic piano notes and the mournful voice of a solo cello evoke the stillness of a forgotten cathedral. Distant bells, solemn pipe organ, layered orchestral strings and shadowy choral textures gradually unfold beneath an ethereal female voice — fragile as a whisper in the verses, yet powerful and radiant as it rises into the song's soaring, sorrow-laden choruses.
