01. Azathoth Dreaming
By Unlife · Metal · From the album The Ancient Ones
Blind idiot god at the center of all
Fingers of chaos uncoil from the void
He dreams and reality trembles and falls
Creation is only a noise
The pipers dance in the maddening night
Their hollow breath devours the light
No throne to hold no crown to keep
Just endless rot in the silent deep
Calling out your name
Calling through the flame
Azathoth dreaming
The spheres are teeming
Azathoth sleeping
The worlds are weeping
Azathoth
Azathoth
Wake from your slumber beyond the black
Azathoth
Azathoth
The universe crumbles and never looks back
I crawled through the spaces between the designs
Where order was never allowed to begin
The shadows were shaped like forgotten old lines
And the silence was louder than sin
A king with no crown sat and watched me arrive
His eye was a wound in the fabric of time
He spoke without tongue and I found I could thrive
On the music that beggars all rhyme
Calling out your name
Calling through the flame
I hung from the rim of the shattered old moon
And listened to drums made of hollowed-out stars
The rhythm was wrong but it ended too soon
And left me with scars upon scars
The priests of the void are still chanting my name
They circle in robes that are woven from dread
I answer with fire and answer with flame
And the words that I never have said
Calling out your name
Calling through the flame
Azathoth dreaming
The spheres are teeming
Azathoth sleeping
The worlds are weeping
Azathoth
Azathoth
Wake from your slumber beyond the black
Azathoth
Azathoth
The universe crumbles and never looks back
Azathoth dreaming
The spheres are teeming
Azathoth sleeping
The worlds are weeping
Azathoth
Azathoth
Wake from your slumber beyond the black
Azathoth
Azathoth
The universe crumbles and never looks back
