06. Aphoom-Zhah, the Cold Flame
By Unlife · Alternative Metal · From the album No Life Matters
Cold pillar rising from the burning deep
Frozen flame that breathes below the ice
A voice that cracks the polar silence wide
Mist that crawls across the crimson stone
Frost that burns where mortal flesh has known
The flying polyp hums below
Old hymns in a language of the deep
I carved my name in permafrost
A vow that I will never sleep
Pentagonal ice beneath my boots
Antarctic hymns with hollow roots
I am the vessel
I am the gate
The flame of the world
Wrapped in snowfall and hate
Call it forth
Call it forth with blood
Call it forth
The gate is in the flood
Cold flame burn
Cold flame burn through me
Cold flame
Aphoom-Zhah
Polar sun
Polar sun descending
Polar sun
(Aphoom-Zhah)
Cold flame burn
Cold flame burn through me
Cold flame
Aphoom-Zhah
Black Flame come
Black flame that freezes the sea
Black flame
(Aphoom-Zhah)
The gates of Yith are rusted shut
The elder whispers turn to wails
I drink the frost from an iron cup
And scream into the polar gales
Call it forth
Call it forth with screams
Call it forth
The night is torn at seams
Shadows stretch like tentacles of night
Drums that hammer through the endless white
Priests who kneel in circles made of bone
Aphoom-Zhah shall claim the frozen throne
Call it forth
Call it forth with pain
Call it forth
The fire meets the rain
Cold flame burn
Cold flame burn through me
Cold flame
Aphoom-Zhah
Polar sun
Polar sun descending
Polar sun
(Aphoom-Zhah)
Cold flame burn
Cold flame burn through me
Cold flame
Aphoom-Zhah
Black Flame come
Black flame that freezes the sea
Black flame
(Aphoom-Zhah)
Come forth from the deep
Come forth from the dark
A tongue of the abyss
A spark without a spark
Cold flame burn
Cold flame burn through me
Cold flame
Aphoom-Zhah
Polar sun
Polar sun descending
Polar sun
(Aphoom-Zhah)
Cold flame burn
Cold flame burn through me
Cold flame
Aphoom-Zhah
Black Flame come
Black flame that freezes the sea
Black flame
(Aphoom-Zhah)
Cold pillar rising
(Cold pillar rising)
From the burning deep
(From the burning deep)
Cold pillar rising
Aphoom-Zhah
