Friday the Thirteenth (Music Video)
By Crimson Requiem · Gothic Doom
October 13, 1307. A sacred oath. A royal betrayal. The beginning of a dark legend.
On Friday the Thirteenth, the Knights Templar were hunted, imprisoned, and condemned under the authority of a king who sought their downfall. Their white mantles, marked by the crimson cross, became symbols of persecution, sacrifice, and defiance.
"Friday the Thirteenth" is a dark fusion of gothic metal, medieval folk, and symphonic metal, bringing this haunting chapter of history to life through crushing guitar riffs, solemn Gregorian chants, ominous pipe organ, martial drums, and the ancient voice of the medieval lute.
From the echoes of sacred halls to the flames of the pyre, the song follows the fall of an order whose legacy outlived the men who sought to destroy it.
Beneath the ashes, the oath survives.
Beyond the flames, the legend endures.
“You may condemn the flesh... but you cannot burn the truth.”

About Gothic Doom
Gothic Doom blends doom metal's crushing, slow-paced heaviness with dark romantic atmospheres, haunting keyboards, and melancholic themes. Often features the "beauty and the beast" vocal approach—pairing ethereal clean vocals with deep growls—alongside orchestral elements and lyrics exploring love, loss, and existential despair. Think Type O Negative, My Dying Bride, Draconian.
