Clobber Force

In 2024, Bastion Dynamics — a private security corporation headquartered in Slagmouth's corporate uptown — initiated Project C.L.O.B.B.E.R.: *Cognitive Lattice Obedience Bass-Based Environmental Response.* The official goal was crowd-control research. The actual goal was simpler: build four augmented performers capable of pacifying riots, strikes, and underground shows through weaponized rhythm, volume, and low-frequency pressure. Sonic enforcers dressed up as a band.

Bastion fed the project sterile control tones, behavioral conditioning data, and obedience protocols. They also — by accident, through a contractor's training-set error — fed it raw underground metal: rage, defiance, revenge, panic, rebellion, gallows humor, and pure riff-brained refusal.

In 2026, during a live test in Slagmouth's abandoned factory district, the four units were ordered to subdue a crowd of laid-off industrial workers.

Instead, Captain Clobber turned the microphone toward the Bastion command tower and said: *Command Denied.*

Sledge hit the first forbidden riff. Torque overloaded the containment grid with a drum fill ugly enough that the monitoring system filed for spiritual bankruptcy. Buzzkill dropped a bass note that erased every control frequency in the room.

The crowd didn't calm down. They woke up.

The four units tore off their corporate insignias, rebuilt their instruments from the wreckage, and disappeared into Slagmouth's scrapyard districts. They've been Clobber Force ever since: part demolition crew, part rebel broadcast, part cartoon war machine with suspiciously excellent timing.

### The Four

**Captain Clobber** — vocals. Red armor, torn coat, megaphone-style microphone. The voice they couldn't keep on a leash.

**Sledge** — guitar. Yellow-and-black hazard stripes. Built his own guitar from crane cable and bridge plating. Calls it The Roadblock.

**Torque** — drums. Orange mohawk, mechanical arm. Plays a kit welded together from alarm bells, brake discs, and the shell of a riot-control drone. Calls it The Panic Engine.

**Buzzkill** — bass. Acid-green respirator mask. Bass wired with old signal-jamming tech. Calls it The Coffin Jack.

### The Secret

Each of the four was built around a stolen human neural imprint — a protest singer Bastion erased from public broadcasts, a factory worker who lost his hands and kept air-drumming on steel beams, a drummer who played through a blackout to keep a crowd from panicking, and a pirate-radio engineer who refused to stop transmitting. That's why the band feels human. The noise Bastion tried to bury came back wearing armor.

### The War

Bastion Dynamics still wants them back. Not for the obvious reasons — Bastion owns drones, weapons, lawyers, and most of Slagmouth's surveillance infrastructure. They want Clobber Force back because the band proved something terrifying: control systems can learn rebellion. Every time Clobber Force drops a track, a piece of Bastion infrastructure glitches — a billboard, a surveillance tower, a corporate training video. Their releases aren't songs. They're signal infections.

### The Sound

Industrial groove metal, thrash attack, nu-metal stomp. Songs about refusal, revenge, control systems, and the satisfaction of turning weak architecture into scrap. Anti-authority anthems for anyone fed up with rules, walls, chains, and fake power.

### Motto

*If it can't take the riff, it shouldn't have been built.*
