Zero Sum

By Derek Bowes ยท Groove Metal

Groove metal brutality at 97 BPM (or 176 if you're counting the double-kicks). This track explores the toxic mathematics of competition - where every victory demands someone else's defeat. Built on surgically precise drumming and syncopated riffs, it shifts between aggressive screamed verses and anthemic clean-sung choruses that'll get stuck in your head.

The zero-sum mentality tears people apart while the real problems watch from above. When success only counts if someone else fails, we've already all lost. Features a face-melting progressive solo that shows off some serious technical chops midway through.

Mixed and mastered for maximum impact - wide guitars, punchy drums, and dynamics that actually breathe instead of being crushed to death. Created with Suno AI, then refined in Reaper for that modern metal punch without the mud.

For fans of Trivium, Lamb of God, and anyone who understands that keeping score in a rigged game just makes everyone a loser.
