Queen of Hell

By Derek Bowes ยท Thrash Metal

I wanted a Salem song with the same bones as Diamond Head's "Am I Evil?" A witch's son who turns into exactly what they killed her for. Turns out Salem already had the story. Martha Carrier's teenage sons were tied neck to heels until they confessed against her, and Cotton Mather later wrote that their confessions said the devil had promised her she'd be Queen of Hell. She was hanged on August 19, 1692. All of that's real. The son signing the devil's book and coming back for the judge, the preacher and the hangman is mine.
