Mattress Actress

By Derek Bowes · Groove Metal

This one's about control. Not the kind anybody hands you — the kind you take. "Mattress Actress" is groove metal built around a woman who doesn't need anyone's permission to run her own business, her own image, her own income. Family judges, strangers judge, the algorithm takes its cut either way — she keeps working. Drop C, heavy chug, gang shouts on the breakdown. If the title made you do a double take, good — that's the point.
