Better Dead Than Sorry

By Derek Bowes · Alternative Metal

"Better Dead Than Sorry" started as a conversation I've been having with myself for decades—that constant tug-of-war between playing it safe and throwing caution to the wind. We all have those two voices: one telling us to stay behind the walls, count the cost, don't make waves. The other one? It's screaming to take the shot, make the stand, live like it actually matters. I wanted to write a song where those voices literally collide, and by the end, one of them wins.

Musically, this track lives in that space between contemplation and chaos. It opens quiet and atmospheric, almost like you're standing at a crossroads in the fog, then the full band kicks in and drags you into the fight. The chorus is meant to hit like a declaration—not asking permission, just stating a truth. Whether you agree with that truth or not, that's on you. But if you've ever been paralyzed by overthinking while something inside you was begging to just go, this one's for you.
