Marco's March is a thrash tune I put together with lyrics based on the Neo-Geo coin-op arcade machine's Metal Slug series of games.

Mission start!

This is Marco Rossi, PF Squad—locked, loaded, and pissed.

General Morden’s army thinks they own the battlefield?

Time to show them what a Slug can do.

Dropped in the jungle, heat like hellfire

Mission One, the blood runs higher

Rivers of green, bullets scream

Morden’s dogs in khaki dreams

I tear through Tanegashima’s trees

With my Heavy Machine Gun, I aim to please

P.O.W.'s scream, I set them free

They hand me flame, now watch them flee!

Metal clanks and jungle roars

I’m the wrath behind these wars

No mercy, no retreat

I bring the Slug, I bring the heat!

Metal Slug! Ride or die!

Tracked vengeance beneath the sky

Marco’s wrath, a one-man tide

In the Super Vehicle, I’ll never hide

Metal Slug! Burn and crush!

Steel and fire, adrenaline rush

From the jungle to the desert dust

I’ll rip Morden’s dreams to rust!

Mission Two, sandstorm rage

Arabian ruins, war’s new stage

Camel Slug, spit fire and lead

Mummies rise, but I shoot ‘em dead

Nazca lines beneath my boots

Ancient death in modern suits

Rocket Launcher, scream and flare

I paint the dunes with warfare!

Mission Three, the tundra bites

Frozen death in endless nights

Snow Slug rolls through icy pain

Morden’s fortress, I’ll entertain

Laser blasts and mech patrols

I carve through steel with burning souls

Grenades rain like winter’s wrath

I clear the cold with Marco’s path!

No surrender, no delay

I fight through night, I fight through day

From Siberia to jungle’s breath

I’m the soldier dealing death!

Metal Slug! Ride or die!

Mission Four, the skies ignite

Flying Slug in aerial fight

Morden’s airships, massive and cruel

But I’m the storm, I break the rule

Laser Cannon, Vulcan fire

I shred their wings, I climb higher

Final boss, the Iron Beast

But I’m the Slug, I’m the feast!

General Morden, you coward king

Your army’s dead, your praises sing

But I’m the echo in your tomb

The Slug rolls in, your final doom!
