After I dropped out of college on my first attempt, I purchased my own set of drums in 1986 when I was 19, and started a band right away. I called it ‘Sinister Force’ and started recruiting fellow musicians to join. Playing guitar then, my bandmates and I wrote our own songs and practiced them until our fingers bled. We got really good and played many shows, in many clubs, in front of many fans for 5 years. We recorded a 4 song EP for whatever we could afford then, and practically gave our tapes away to promote the band.

Eventually the music scene turned its back on hard rock and metal in favor of post-punk and grunge, and we became one of the many casualties of the fickle tastes of the music-buying public. It was a wild and fun ride despite this development, full of ups and downs, and I was happy and lucky to live through it!

I hung it up through the 90’s to get my degree at college, and cut my long hair off. By the end of the decade, I got the itch to play guitar again, so I started to network again, and jumped right back into the local bar scene and played in local cover bands.

I still play mainly Guitar now, but I also have been known to fill in on Bass and Drums here and there. In my experiences in the music scene, I’ve performed in the following capacities; Musician (Bass, Guitar, Drums), Business Manager, Booking Agent, Website Designer, Graphic Art Designer, Promoter, and Songwriter/ Lyricist, and have garnered some local radio station airplay.
