Regarding the lyrical content, lead guitarist Mineo's ancestors (from his mom's side of the family) were part of the French Revolution, with one of them being an executioner. They left a journal behind, detailing their obsession with the bladed object, how it became a symbol of morbid freedom. Mineo communicated the idea with the other band members, and agreed. They also got collaborative help from various musicians, including producers Fractal, producer NeckbeardSlayer, BlueEyedGuy, and The Good Doctor, with the gang vocals and the folk elements.

The wax heads on the album cover were created by Mineo, and the Guillotine was on loan from a history museum. Cover photography was done by Kinetico.

--------------------------------------

[Intro – instrumental, thunder swells under clean guitars as a slow, deliberate pulse builds toward the fall. Drums enter with a tribal rhythm, floor toms boom like distant thunder. Bass joins with a low drone, creating a sense of dread before the first verse begins.]

[Verse 1 – clean / haunting tone, soft delay on vocals, guitars drenched in reverb. The performance is subdued but tense, as if suppressing fear.]

Blue as my veins, the sky

Falls as the angels cry.

I breathe the blade of pain,

And curse the coming rain

[Pre-chorus – rising tension. Snare rolls and background harmonics build anticipation. Vocals gain a weary edge.]

I hate death—no joy remains,

Faith just circles down the drain

[Chorus – clean / scream layered. Dual vocals alternate between melody and aggression. Guitars switch to thick distortion, drums thunder with conviction.]

Heaven and Hell collide,

Heads roll and die.

Caught in between,

The Azure Guillotine

Heaven and Hell collide,

Heads roll and die.

Caught in between,

The Azure Guillotine

[Verse 2 – harsh / driven tone. Distorted guitars strike like machinery. Screamed delivery, relentless but mournful. Each line cuts through the wall of sound.]

Blood rains down, blinds my eyes,

We’re bound where silence lies

Born for ruin, born for flame,

Break me—I’ll rise the same

[Chorus – clean / scream layered. Intensity builds further; the screams are raw, desperate. The guitars form a storm of feedback under layered harmonies.]

Heaven and Hell collide,

Heads roll and die

Caught in between,

The Azure Guillotine

[Instrumental break – guitars and drums churn together in a mechanical rhythm. Bass carries a dark, distorted pulse. The world feels suspended, waiting for collapse.]

[Bridge – spoken / whispered. All instruments drop except a single clean guitar with reverb. Vocals are soft, almost confessional, hovering on the edge of despair.]

No help… no loss…

No bliss from the cross

[Guitar solo – lead guitar rises through the silence with a haunting melody. Sustained bends, layered harmonics, and ghostly feedback. The rhythm guitar holds long, heavy chords beneath it. Drums slow, then reawaken with the melody.]

[Verse 3 – clean start, growling end. Begins somber and human, then breaks into fury. The shift mirrors the duality of faith and rage colliding.]

Bones break where beauty hides,

Scars bleed where truth resides

Perfection’s a wound I breathe,

Why did God let us grieve?

[Final chorus – full power. All instruments in unison. Dual vocals scream and soar together as the storm peaks. Every instrument surges toward the final word.]

Heaven and Hell collide,

Heads roll and die

Caught in between,

The Azure Guillotine

Heaven and Hell collide,

Heads roll and die

Caught in between

The Azure Guillotine....

[Coda – lead guitar. Distortion fades into a clean, echoing melody line. The final note sustains, then cuts abruptly—like the blade’s fall—leaving silence and faint rainfall.]
