Imagine a ship returning from conquest and trade, a cold newly opened fjord onto the North Sea, high walls of mountains on either side and a rowing crew reminissing in song over the latest raid of many. Happy to just be alive unlike some of their friends and most of their foes.
Such it could have been, those 1 000 and some years ago as raging men of the north set out to ravage the churches of old.
